Adreco Plastics of Milton Keynes is celebrating having won a prestigious 2017 Plastics Industry Award for Supplier Partnership in the Toolmaking category.

TV presenter Nick Knowles presented the award to Managing Director Sam Hill in front of a packed audience of almost 800 industry professionals attending the masquerade ball-themed event at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Friday (27th October).

Judges praised the depth of the partnership between Adreco Plastics and their customer, Mologic who are based in Thurleigh, Bedfordshire and the extraordinary lengths both companies had taken during the design, toolmaking, moulding and then final assembly of their medical devices. The two companies signed a long-term partnership agreement earlier this year which resulted in Adreco commissioning a Cleanroom assembly facility to accommodate the new work.

“2017 is our 40th year of trading and it’s five years since I acquired the business.” said Sam Hill, Managing Director. “It’s been an amazing journey and we’ve doubled in size since 2012. The annual Plastics Awards are our industry’s “Oscars”. We were finalists in 2015 and again in 2016, but we’ve now got the top spot in 2017. This award is dedicated to everyone at our Milton Keynes factory, our loyal suppliers and great customers.” continued Sam.

Launched in 2001, and held annually in London, the Plastics Industry Awards ceremony is dedicated to rewarding innovation and exceptional performance in an increasingly competitive market. Fifteen categories cover materials usage, product design, manufacturing, training and environmental performance, and entries are judged by a panel of industry experts.
