Earlier on this month, Adreco Plastic’s apprentice, David, won top prize at Milton Keynes College and was awarded ” Apprentice of The Year.”
Adreco Plastics sponsored the event and our MD , Sam Hill presented David with his award on the night.
David is studying ” Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing & Engineering” and has been working on a variety of toolmaking projects and plastics manufacturing processes here at Adreco Plastics. He is an excellent engineering apprentice who has demonstrated how well an apprenticeship can marry together the benefits of learning in the workplace and at college.
Now more than ever in the plastics Industry, it is vital that companies recognize the importance of taking on Apprentices, particularly in areas such as tool making. We’re lucky at Adreco Plastics to have over 120 years of toolmaking experience within our team and believe it’s vital that this experience is passed on to ensure a strong future for the company and for UK manufacturing. In view of this , we have another apprentice joining us next month.
So , congratulations to David and thanks to our brilliant team who continue to be a key part of his development.
If you’re a business and would like any advice on taking on apprentices , we’d be happy to talk to you about our experiences and how apprenticeships can benefit your business.
